For over thirty years, In Style USA has been providing quality domestic fashion garment development and production. We have approximately 10,000 square feet of space in the heart of the Garment District with over 60 sewing machines and two on-site cutting tables. We offer dependable full package production to many of the best brands and design leaders in fashion. Our products can be found at top retail accounts around the world. We have the unique experience to work with you in all areas of your apparel business; assisting with design execution, fabric selection, trim selection, first pattern, and all parts of development to get your concept from samples to finished production. Tina Yu
Owner, Designer, Patternmaker
Tina comes from a legendary family of fashion manufacturers that spans many generations. She is a decorated designer and was voted top 10 eveningwear designers of Toronto. She is a highly skilled patternmaker with extensive knowledge of garment construction.
After starting her career in Hong Kong, she moved to Toronto to start her own collection of eveningwear. Tina managed every aspect of her business as a young entrepreneur. From development, to sourcing, patternmaking and production, she did it all. Her skills and attention to detail did not go unnoticed and Tina found herself helping other designers. Tina then moved to New York to start In Style USA. With her patternmaking skills and vast knowledge of garment construction, her New York atelier began working with the likes of Bill Blass, Oscar de la Renta and countless other designers.
Tina continues to be involved in the success of In Style USA. She manages the team of skilled patternmakers, sharing best techniques, and giving guidance in overall fit / balance and design aesthetics. Her attention to clients' concepts is unparalleled. Every detail is incorporated into In Style USA patterns. She also manages In Style USA's production team to ensure work flow, construction and best quality finishing are used during the production process. The same zeal that Tina took in creating her own collection is provided to all notable and emerging designers.
James Mallon
Partner
Jim is an oracle of the garment industry. Having started his career with Oxford Industries, and later owning his own designer label, he brings his extended industry knowledge to In Style USA. After meeting Tina, he partnered with her, as he understood her level of talent to be missing from the New York City Garment District. As an insider with global resources, Jim’s astute industry knowledge ensures In Style USA uses the best business practices. When a designer is in need of an obscure trim or in a jam for a fabric replacement, Jim is their go-to resource.
Pauline Lock
Product Development & Bulk Production Manager
Pauline Lock has been the "gatekeeper” to Tina since the inception of In Style USA. She manages product development and bulk production for all In Style USA clients. Pauline works with designers to develop their products, using the best and most appropriate techniques and methods for their target markets. She takes an in-depth look at each brand and aligns In Style USA resources with the designers' needs. She reviews design tech packs with her team of patternmakers and sewers to execute the designers' visions. Pauline also manages the seamless transition from sketch to retail. She follows the progress of each item with her team in the bulk production process, overseeing every detail to ensure fabric, trims, and all components are ready for production.

As a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America since 2013, In Style USA has advocated for designers both big and small. Creating thoughtful and intuitive solutions for manufacturing the finest garments in NYC. In Style USA was the recipient of the inaugural grant of Fashion Manufacturing Initiative. This program was created through a partnership between the CFDA and New York City Economic Development Corporation to help preserve manufacturing in New York City. As leaders in the NYC Garment industry, In Style USA strives to excel and continue to grow as the premier resource for designers.
